A few items from late 2012 to present.

Not much, but better than none.

A hat and mitts I made for my kitty-loving son.

I ended up making a number of color variations of the hat, including black, purple and pink.  I got behind and have more on my list for the coming winter...a red set, a pair of black mitts, and a hat in the color theme of the cheshire cat!

I made a bag using 4 of these squares on one side and 4 more plain squares on the other...

Some toys...

A gingerbread man puppet to match my niece's favourite book...

The best part was that I had the *perfect* box to wrap it in...

A Pinterest-inspired Minnie Mouse bag...

And back when they were trendy on the net, some covered river rocks.Front:

and back:

I used size 30 cotton thread and the smallest hook I had, and pretty much made each one up as I went along.  First time using something thinner than bedspread weight/size 10 thread.

I also made myself a bag like this one that I made to sell, but switched one color...just don't have a picture of my bag.

Hmmm I made one like this in different colors for my niece, but I don't seem to have a picture of it.

Oh, and a granny square bag for another niece.

I've got some flowers and butterflies being blocked, and have a blanket and wrap that have been in progress for months.  No pics of those yet.

That's it for now.

Mother Knows Best shopping even!

I will be participating in the Mother Knows Best shopping event on Saturday, April 28 from 10 am - 4 pm at the Mayfield Inn & Suites in Edmonton!  Click here for a sneak peek at some of the items that will be available to purchase.

The most recent crochet work...

has long since been finished and delivered (of course quite belatedly), but here are finally a couple of snaps of the wrap I made my sister in law for her birthday.

I probably should have blocked it, but in the interest of time, didn't.  It actually works up fairly quickly, once you've got the pattern in your head...for me the problem was just finding time to work on it :)

it's happening!

I'm actually working on something! YAY!!  I can't say what it is right now, because it's a gift, so no pictures either until it's done and been given and received.  For the first time, however, I tried doing a foundation single crochet, instead starting with a bunch of chain stitches, turning, and sc across.  I didn't realize the pattern was written that way, but luckily I had just watched a video courtesy of futuregirl a few days ago about doing the fsc, so I was able to figure out the written instructions.  The pattern did include directions for doing it without an fsc, but I wanted to try it and am glad I did; I like the way it turned out.

The top stretch of it shows how it looks from the side, and the bottom shows more of the top of the stitches.

I managed to get about 1/4 of the project done, so that was a good dent!

I have also one finished project I haven't shown yet, a blanket I made for Harry.  I finished it a few weeks ago already but I still haven't taken any pictures of it.  One of these days I'll get on that!
