Happy New Year!
Monday, January 4, 2010 at 3:30PM Wow, 2010 already! It doesn't seem that long ago there was all of that Y2K nonsense, and here we are an entire decade later. I don't feel 10 years older...well, apart from my knees! :)
Christmas was better than I expected...given it was the 1 year anniversary of our miscarriage, I figured that would be clouding over the enjoyment of the season...but it didn't. Of course I thought about it, and was sad that things didn't work out, but happily I was able to partake in the festivities without feeling as weighed down by that.
We had the family dinner & gift exchange with my family on Christmas eve, and left for the drive to Abbotsford BC the next morning. We spent the week there with Dustin and Kristelle, who we do not get to see often enough. Our time together included an overnight trip to Seattle, night time photography around Vancouver, many delicious meals, and a number of battles of Tetris and MarioKart! We each have a Nintendo DS (I just got a new DSi for Christmas...I played my old one so much I broke the hinge and case) and we love having 4 person games! Somehow it seems the more I trashtalk, the worse I play! I better get on that.
In any event, we had a great visit! Now I am working on editing some of the many photos I took on our trip. Stay tuned for those!

You are so right. This Christmas turned out to be so much better than last. Being able to see Dustin and Kristelle especially after his extreme health issues over the past few weeks was fantastic. I'd say family was definitely the theme of the holidays this year.
