peaceful

First off, I must thank those of you who sent emails and messages after reading my previous post.  Some of you I know, some of you I don't, but I appreciate your kind words more than I can tell you.  I will reply back to each of you.

The past week was so full of negative energy and I felt worn down by it quite quickly.  How easy it is for small gains to seem like they've flown out the window and that you've taken 5 steps back.  Hopefully the coming week bring better things.  Spending time with my adorable nieces Sunday afternoon will hopefully get the ball rolling.

As I'm unwinding and trying to let go of the unhappiness I dragged around with me this week, I'm listening to the beautiful, peaceful music of my cousin, Michael Logozar, and I feel like my spirit has lightened.  Thank you Michael.

Take a listen to his CD, Coming Into View, over at his website.

(you can also buy it there or at itunes)  :)

Morning comes early.

Like way too early.  It's 4:20am as I begin to write this and I am wide awake and ready to shake.  Or something like that.  The neighborhood is quiet and the sun won't be up for a few more hours, and I feel like it's too early to get out of bed even though there's no use laying here.  Ok so I did get out of bed to get the laptop, but I came back.

What will today bring, I wonder.  The weather is supposed to bring us a bit more snow.  I've been wanting to get out and do a bit of photography but have been waiting for a little bit of sun and some warmer weather.  This journal seems too wordy lately and needs some pictures to liven it up.  Of course I could go through my scads of old photos and find something, but I want something fresh and new!  Maybe I'll venture down to one of the city parks this morning and snap a few shots off and see if that will hold me over until the perfect picture-taking day comes along.

I'm listening to a CD I recently downloaded that is my favorite-of-the-moment.  I found it thanks to a Sears commercial that plays here...one of the songs, Don't Let Me Fall, is currently featured in a Christmas ad.  I did a Google search to find out the song title and artist, and voila, my new favorite was found.  The self titled CD is Lenka. It's not brand new, but it's new to me and I love it!

Guess that's my plug for the day!
